The pride of Jalisco

Tapatío is the name given to people from Guadalajara, Jalisco, inspired by where its founder was from. Their saucy products is the spicy kick to enhance tortilla based dishes as well as your favourite recipes.

Tapatío began in the 1970s from a one-man band, Jose-Luis Saavedra, his sauces emerged with their distinct, trademark flavour that became a popular staple in the Hispanic community and slowly making its saunter into the wider population.

Through the years Tapatío has become a household name in the global market as the authentic hot sauce that’s just about good with every bite!

Valentina salsa picante was founded over 50 years ago by Salsa Tamazula, based in Guadalajara, Mexico. Their thick, spicy hot sauces are made from local puya chilis, the pride of the Jalisco state.

In ancient times, sauce created from ground chili was a sacred condiment valued by priests, nobility and kings - and it was forbidden to be consumed before religious ceremonies.

Valentina has preserved this culinary tradition and brought their unique flavours to the world.

Their classic condiments are a common feature across kitchens and restaurants in Mexico - no meal is complete without a splash!

A sprinkle of magic

Huy Fong Foods

The world-famous sriracha sauce

Tajín’s story began in a large, traditional Mexican kitchen where Tajín’s founder, Horacio, grew up enveloped in the luscious fragrances of fresh ingredients wafting from stove burners and claypots. His fondest memories were of his grandmother, who would prepare her signature sauces using seven different chilis - it was his dream to share these delectable flavours with the world.

Horacio began to experiment with ways to dehydrate the limes and the chilis in order to preserve their vibrant flavours - he went on to invent powdered sauces that are delicious and easy to consume.

Tajín’s dedication to promoting Mexican traditions and family values has resulted in four scrumptious powdered sauces that’s a perfect addition to fruits, vegetables, snacks and cocktails!

If you’ve ever had sriracha, it’s likely that it was a bottle by Huy Fong Foods- their ubiquitous sauces with the prominent rooster on the label is part of the fixture in any Vietnamese food joint.

Based off the founder David Tran's original recipe for the sriracha chili sauce, Huy Fong’s sriracha are proudly made in the USA using fresh jalapeño chili peppers, without artificial colouring or addition of water. As a refugee from Vietnam, Tran crossed the oceans on a ship named Huey Fong, which became the namesake for his business.

His sriracha, chili garlic and sambal oelek has earned a massive cult following around the globe, with large food corporations such as Heinz, Burger King and Subway incorporating the sauce into their menus.
