309 Honey - superlative manuka

A boutique beekeeping operation specialising in Manuka and other native varieties.

309 Honey takes its name on the infamous and historical 309 Road which crosses the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand coast to coast, where the artisan bee keepers and their lovely bees reside.

Coromandel Peninsula environment is renowned world wide as a spectacular, rugged, unspoiled wilderness where bush clad hills plummet to meet the sea on pristine, remote, deserted beaches and where clear crisp rivers flow through peaceful valleys filled with wild manuka.

Compared to standard honey bee honey, manuka honey contains a higher concentration of methylglyoxal (MGO), making it a more potent superfood and traditional remedy.

Manuka honey is used as a natural ointment for wounds with its antibacterial and bacterial resistant nature. Other health benefits range from improving digestions to boosting immune system!
